Omnios Selected to Participate in Field Study with Nationally Ranked University Entrepreneurship Program

In August, Omnios was selected by the University of Iowa to give its students real world business consulting experience through a field study program. Iowa’s John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is ranked #21 on the Princeton Review’s Top 25 Entrepreneurial Universities, and Omnios was selected to participate out of a number of applicant companies.

“We are excited and honored to be part of the University’s entrepreneurship field study project,” said Mike Silver, Omnios partner. “Not only will we be able to give the Iowa students practical business experience, but we will gain new and fresh business perspectives on how Omnios can better serve and meet the needs of our clients.”

Through Professor Richard McCarty and his class, Entrepreneurship: Business Consulting, students participating in the field study project will learn about and actively participate in the consulting process through proposal development, data collection and analysis, final report preparation and final presentations.

The Omnios project will focus on market analysis of the business needs and challenges of professional service firms, Omnios’ key market, as it relates to business operations and project management. Omnios helps companies analyze, identify and implement improved financial and project management processes to help improve executive decision-making, productivity, cash flow and revenue – and the Iowa students will get a chance to participate and offer insight in all of these areas.

At the conclusion of the project, Omnios will have a stronger understanding and knowledge base of the services desired and needed in their key market. Additionally, it will have an identified path to build and focus future business initiative and service offerings.
